A daily discipleship platform

The work isdaily.

2x2 forms the whole man: mind, body, and soul. Three prompts a day, delivered through the TrainHeroic app.

Why 2x2 exists

Built for every man.

01

Drift is the default. No man drifts into discipline. Structure is the only counterweight.

02

Most programs train half the man: body without soul, or soul without body. Half-formed is still unformed.

03

Feeds don't form men. Watching content about discipline is not discipline. The work is daily, and it's yours to do.

2x2 is not just for the workout junkies, the bookworms, or the pastors. Every man has a mind, a body, and a soul; every man can train all three. The standard is the same for all of us: something for the mind, something for the body, something for the soul, every day.

Three disciplines. One man.

Mind

Read, write, listen, converse. Curated essays, podcasts, and exercises that shape thought and character. Fifteen to forty-five minutes a day.

Body

Move every day. The programming is done for you: show up, do the work, log your numbers. Some days heavy, some days light, and it scales to wherever you're starting from.

Soul

Scripture, prayer, and formation practices rooted in the Word. The one discipline that never takes a day off.

01 Mind

Read David Foster Wallace's “This Is Water.” He argues that everyone worships something. As you read, ask: what does my age teach me to worship without calling it worship? Money, body, comfort, control, intellect, approval? Name one idol that is shaping you quietly.

03 Soul

Read 1 John 5:1–5 and map the chain John is building: what leads to what? Mark every connector — “because,” “this is,” “for,” “who is.” John is making a specific argument about the relationship between faith, love, obedience, and victory. What is the sequence? And what does it mean that his commands are described as “not burdensome” — do you experience them that way?

Every day looks like this. The prompts change; the standard doesn't.
